Location : 303 Ave St-Jérôme, Matane, Quebec, G4W 3A8

Employment type : Part‑time, Temporary (STTRC) – this role requires full‑time on‑site presence. Work schedule : Evening shift, Monday to Friday.

Language : French (primary), English (intermediate). Target : Canadian audience via mobile app, website, newsletter, social media.

Position overview

As Regional Lineup Editor for digital platforms you will contribute to digital production while providing editorial direction for content. You will chase stories, write copy, vet news content, and ensure its publication by adding items to line‑ups for various digital platforms and delivery channels.

You will report to the Senior Manager, News and Programming, and must adhere to CBC / Radio‑Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.

Key responsibilities

• Keep up with the news through various sources and determine stories and angles in tandem with the editorial team.
• Coordinate the work of the digital editorial team and edit reporters’ work before publication.
• Ensure quality of copy stories, identify sources, check facts and request changes as needed.
• Determine the content delivery strategy in conjunction with the assignment desk.
• Conduct image searches and embed needed visuals, graphics, video, or audio.
• Monitor news developments and keep platforms continuously updated.
• Coordinate live news coverage and live broadcast of media briefings.
• Write alerts, copy and titles as needed and track content engagement.
• Promote stories likely to interest audiences outside the region in collaboration with the national desk.
