Location Greater Sudbury Area (Lively) or Greater Toronto Area (Mississauga), Ontario

Currently, we have an opening for a Business Analyst . As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our financial reporting functions and contributing to the implementation of strategic ERP solutions.

What you will be doing

Collaborate with Finance and Business Controllers to enhance performance management functions.

Assist in performance managing divisions, preparing monthly operational reviews, preparing, analyzing, and consolidating financial forecasts.

Assist in reporting and analyzing SG&A spend, cash flows, and CAPEX investments.

Assist in consolidating tax schedules across various divisions and entities.

Assist in reviewing and analyzing sales taxes.

Assist in reviewing and analyzing corporate income taxes and help in preparing returns.

As required, help research reporting standards and taxation policies to determine appropriate accounting treatments.

Assist in providing the business guidance on tax topics.

Assist in audits from tax authorities.

Assist in the preparation of the company Pension Plans’ financial statements.

Assist in the administration of the company Pension Plans including but not limited to regulatory disclosures.

Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Team up with various departments, divisions, and individuals to optimize our processes and ways of working.

Provide analysis, support, and testing with ERP implementation (SAP).

Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

What you will bring along

Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance), Mathematics, or Sciences.

Actively pursuing CPA designation is considered an asset.

Experience with SAP S / 4 HANA is considered an asset.

Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered an asset.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft 365®), proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively present ideas across all organizational levels.

Proven problem-solving skills, including quantitative, conceptual, and analytical capabilities.

A flexible, energetic, and self-motivated mindset, showcasing a genuine eagerness to learn and grow within the role.
