Utilities Assistant – Water Conservation

Job Summary

The Regional District of North Okanagan is seeking a student / seasonal Utilities Assistant to support water sustainability initiatives. Reporting to the Water Quality Manager, the successful candidate will assist staff with data collection, data analysis and environmental stewardship education in support of the district’s water conservation goals.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyse data related to water use and conservation initiatives.
• Assist the Water Quality Manager with monitoring water quality and sustainability programs.
• Provide clear, courteous communication to the public and stakeholders about conservation practices.
• Participate in environmental stewardship education activities.

Qualifications

Work Conditions & Compensation

Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Approximate dates : May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026. Hourly wage : $23.24 plus 16% in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and all other benefits, equivalent to $26.96 per hour.
