Job description

We are currently seeking a Project Manager for our client in the Greater Hamilton Area, ON. Our client has over 50 years of experience in delivering excellence in paving and associated services for commercial, private, and municipal construction projects. They prioritize environmental sustainability and have been recognized for their commitment to innovation and quality.

Responsibilities :

  • Direct and oversee civil and road construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, progress, estimates, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Interpret project specifications, develop change orders, and maintain accurate daily work records.
  • Collaborate with engineering and supervisory teams to resolve construction issues promptly.
  • Ensure that construction quality meets company and industry standards, and client requirements are met.
  • Participate in coordination and production meetings to address project-related issues.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage project schedules and coordinate all aspects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Prerequisites :

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil and road construction project management.
  • College diploma or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of project management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and administrative abilities with a focus on multitasking in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid Class G or equivalent driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting project deadlines.
