Forklift Operator - Cross Dock

MaxSys Staffing is currently hiring Full Time Forklift Operators for a warehouse in Mississauga Ontario, near Erin Mills Parkway/Millcreek Drive. ABSOLUTELY NO STUDY PERMITS – WORK PERMIT/PERMANENT RESIDENT/CANADIAN CITIZEN ONLYMust be certified/licensed to drive the following machines:
• Counterbalance – cross dock (propane)
Shift:
Monday: 2pm to 10pmTuesday – Friday: 1pm to 10pm
Pay Rate: Starting at $23/hour PLEASE NOTE: Assessment is required before placementMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Propane Counterbalance (cross dock) operation
• Receiving and shipping
• Loading/unloading trailers
• Sending daily paperwork to head office
• Complete set quotas for the day – must respect delivery deadlines
• Maintain clean and safe lift trucks, racking and surrounding warehouse areas
• Must be flexible helping with lifting boxes if needed – must be able to lift at least 30lbs/14kg
• Must maintain cleanliness of warehouse, equipment, bathroom, and outside perimeter

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid forklift license for Propane Counterbalance (cross dock) – at least 6 months previous experience driving Electric Counterbalance
• MUST have LTL freight experience, or knowledge of the LTL concept in transportation
• Must have strong knowledge of weight distribution on trailers, and must know the different between a triaxle and a tandem trailer
• Must have strong computer skills and attention to detail
• MUST have strong English speaking/writing/reading skills (some fluency in French is an asset)Applications:
