Overview

Are you a dynamic, versatile couple with a passion for managing a private estate? Our client, the owner of a beautiful equestrian estate in Saint-Placide, Québec, is seeking an experienced Estate Couple – Caretakers / Household Managers for the Private Estate Couple-Caretakers #2007 role at Elite Domo.

This key role requires autonomy, strong organizational skills, and dedication to maintaining high standards. In return, the position offers a stable, full-time opportunity with competitive compensation, a furnished apartment, and the chance to live and work in a stunning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform full housekeeping duties for the main residence and apartment (dusting, vacuuming, floor cleaning, bed-making, laundry, ironing, etc.).

Occasionally assist with :

caring for grandchildren

preparing family meals

looking after pets (2 dogs)

Carry out minor repairs and maintenance (fences, broken tree branches, leaking pipes or hoses, lights, etc.).

Maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.

Oversee the upkeep and safe operation of machinery (tractors, ATV, RTV, lawn mower, weed eater, and other small equipment).

Ensure cleanliness of the estate’s private pub and brewing room.

Participate in seasonal bottling of beer and maple syrup (spring and fall).

Deliver orders within approximately 30 km when required.

Feed and monitor horses, and keep the stable clean (sweeping, washing the tack room, bathroom, and feed room).

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven experience as an estate couple, caretakers, or household managers.

Practical knowledge of estate maintenance and general repairs.

Must speak French.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Good physical condition to handle varied and demanding tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary of $100,000 for the couple.

Full-time, permanent position (40 hours / week).

Fully furnished apartment provided.

4 weeks of vacation (2 consecutive weeks in summer, plus 2 additional weeks at other times).
