Job descriptionMust be currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate program. Preference will be given to those in a Occupational Health and Safety program. Knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook). Organizational and multitasking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Ability to plan and employ preventative measures to reduce the risks of exposure to hazards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong willingness to learn. Successful applicants must be able to provide their own CSA approved steel toed boots and be willing to take and pass a Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Test. Shift rotation and overtime may be applicable. Our project site is not accessible by public transportation so the successful applicant for that location will need access to a vehicle. Please note that candidates who have been selected to move forward to the next stage of the recruitment process will receive an email to complete a short online video interview.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update HSE records, including training logs, incident reports, audits, and compliance documents.
- Manage document control systems for HSE procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Track attendance and maintain training records.
- Prepare HSE reports, presentations, and performance metrics for management review.
- Track health and safety statistics and trends.
Qualifications
Provide general administrative support for HSE initiatives, including data entry and filing. What you will bring to the role :
