This is your chance to join WSP as a Mechanical Designer supporting the iconic Centre Block Rehabilitation Project, based in our Downtown Ottawa office. You'll be part of an evolving, collaborative Mechanical & Electrical team working closely with trade partners to deliver high-precision, BIM-driven design solutions for one of Canada's most significant heritage revitalization projects.

Your Impact

• Model complex mechanical building systems in REVIT MEP to support coordinated 3D design delivery across the project.
• Drive high-quality design outputs, producing construction-ready drawings and details for HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mechanical trade contractors to resolve design challenges in a design-assist environment.
• Apply advanced BIM workflows-including BIM360 and Solibri-to improve efficiency and reduce design conflicts.
• Contribute to developing custom tools, templates, and digital workflows that elevate project delivery standards.
• Ensure all system designs support project performance, constructability, and heritage-sensitive requirements.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• You bring at least two years of hands-on experience designing mechanical systems within BIM environments, with advanced proficiency in REVIT MEP, BIM360, Solibri, and related add-ins.
• You have practical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems and how they integrate in 3D model workflows.
• You thrive in collaborative spaces-coordinating with trades, engineers, and other designers to solve complex problems.
• You're methodical, organized, and energized by finding solutions in a fast-moving project environment.
• You meet the requirement to obtain PSPC Reliability security clearance.

Compensation

Using Grade 5, Tier 2 salary ranges from the Pay Transparency 2026 data:

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
• MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
• NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
