Position Summary

We are looking for a Power BI Co-op Student to join us for a four-month period, starting in January 2024.

This position will be based out of our Florenceville location.

This Position is responsible for administering and maintaining the Business Intelligence environments and provide day-to-day operational support.

The Team

Global Data Services & Platforms is under broader Digital & Data team.

The focus of the Global Data Services & Platforms team is to deliver common data models, data structures and data policies to increase the quality of our data, to provide confidence for our business teams to use this data to make better decisions and drive value through the use of data.

Also, the team is responsible for administering and maintaining the Business Intelligence, Data and Cloud Platforms and provide day-to-day operational support.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Manage, monitor, and administer our Power BI Platform
  • Coordinate and communicate planned upgrades, enhancements and maintenance outage windows.
  • Maintain system metrics to track trends in usage and system health.
  • You will have an opportunity to work on Compliance, Auditing, data privacy, data classification, security to BI tools.
  • Expected to work on Access Management and Object Promotions from non prod environments to prod environments.
  • Develop reporting, analysis, and dashboards using Power BI.

    • What You Will Learn

  • Will have an opportunity to work on configuration, installation of the Power BI Platform Components.
  • Establishing connectivity / Integration of the Power BI with various Databases, EDW and various other Data sources.
  • Will learn how to monitor a BI Platform and troubleshoot environment errors and performance problems, including coordination with Microsoft and other vendors.
  • How to ensure BI environment is secure and with auditing effectivity implemented.
  • Performing upgrades and maintenance on the Power BI infrastructure and reporting content.
  • How to design and develop enterprise BI datamodels and solutions including creation of dashboards and interactive visuals in Power BI

    • What You Need to be Successful

  • Prior knowledge on Power BI or any other BI tool will be needed
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Data & Analytics
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing methodologies
  • Having willingness to learn new technologies and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem skills
  • Should be able to act as an effective, collaborative team member
