The Senior Communications Advisor is the subject matter expert who provides advice and guidance to senior officials on communications involving operational matters.Key responsibilities :
The RCMP Federal Policing units are responsible for protecting Canada, its people, and its interests from domestic and international criminal threats, including risks to national security, serious organized crime, border integrity, financial crime and cybercrime. A strategic communications team has been created to directly support the Federal Policing Northwest Region which includes : Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nunavut and Northwest Territories.The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is looking for talented and skilled individuals to join our dynamic Federal Policing team. The intent of this process is to staff a position on a indeterminate basis in Edmonton, Alberta, and create a pool of qualified candidates. The pool of qualified candidates may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment) in Winnipeg, Manitoba.Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. If a candidate is selected for a specified period (including term, acting, or assignment / secondment) appointment, they will remain in the pool for future offers.
