Product Owner

GHGSat is a global leader in emissions intelligence, pioneering the use of satellite imagery to monitor and measure greenhouse gas emissions since 2016. By partnering with industry leaders, GHGSat leverages proprietary satellite data, aircraft imagery, and public data to provide unprecedented insights into the global emissions landscape.

As GHGSat continues its journey to build the world's leading geospatial atmospheric data platform, we are seeking a Product Owner to drive the development of our technical products. This role is solution oriented and bridges the segment and product strategy and focuses on technical execution, ensuring our solutions meet customer needs while aligning with company goals. Our key client segments include : Oil & Gas, Industry, Financial Services, and Government sectors. You will own the product lifecycle at the system level — spanning features, sensor technologies, and data platforms — and collaborate closely with product strategy, science, engineering, and product marketing.

This position is part of a newly formed team dedicated to advancing GHGSat’s product discipline. It reports to the Product Management team lead. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and focuses on both software and hardware development environments.

This role is open to candidates located in Canada & US, with a preference for those near our Canadian office locations and / or Eastern time zone to collaborate with team members and key stakeholders, and support our hybrid 2-day in-office work mode, as applicable - please see our locations for more details.

What You Will Do : Product Ownership

• Be the product champion, key point of contact, and resident expert for our Satellite / Air sensor capabilities; field majority of product related inquiries from clients and client-facing teams.
• Understand how segment priorities and use cases translate into product level capabilities to inform and design client experiences and features.
• Create and maintain competitive analysis and positioning by product line; perform SWOT analysis.
