GIS / Landfolio Support Student - Summer 2026

The GIS / Landfolio Support role provides hands-on support to the Woodlands and cross‑business teams in maintaining JD Irving’s enterprise land management system, Landfolio. The student will work closely with GIS resources, Divisional Champions, and regional business partners to ensure data accuracy, strengthen our system of record, and support ongoing visualization and data quality initiatives.

This role directly supports ongoing enterprise initiatives, including tax assessment processes, property data completeness, and multi‑business land record accuracy, making it a meaningful opportunity to contribute to JDI’s long-term land management transformation.

This position is ideal for a student with strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and an interest in GIS, data management, or land administration systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (Forestry, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field an asset)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical systems
• Comfortable working with maps, spatial data, or data-entry tasks
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams
• Experience with GIS, Landfolio, spatial tools, or data systems is an asset but not required.
