Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Material Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for the entire manufacturing process compliance and efficiency (incoming product inspection, final inspection, full manufacturing cycle including product and process validations)
  • Perform the full audit process cycle – plan an audit, conduct an audit, report / communicate results and issue corrective actions if necessary. Audit types mainly concern internal processes (manufacturing, regulatory, internal policies) as well as external / supplier processes (QMS, design, manufacturing, assembly, test, inspection).
  • Ensure product compliance with design requirements based on a quality plan – develop inspection and test standards, establish control points, supervise the inspection process, address non-conformities through resolution plans.
  • Ensure maintenance of manufacturing requirements – review, assign responsibility and determine material disposition of a non-conformity; Conduct investigations to determine root causes and necessary corrective actions for material problems; update / develop standards used to accept / reject parts; implement quality clinics.
  • Lead MRB (Material Review Board) meetings and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Perform quality audits in Production area.
  • Validate and verify manufacturing processes and qualification techniques
  • Deploy measures in production to generate continuous improvement projects
  • Identify opportunities for improvement – ​​analyze data to find recurring problems using problem solving tools (Ishikawa / Pareto / control charts, etc.); organize product / process improvement sessions.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • DEC in Mechanical or Electrical (or technical training with equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in internal and external (supplier) auditing required
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 : 2015 and its quality management principles.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to mechanical or electrical products (welding, plating, painting, machining, sheet metal, mechanical / electrical assembly, PCB assembly, cable assembly)
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing
