Accounts Payable Technician / Payroll Administrator

Position: Accounts Payable Technician / Payroll AdministratorLocation: Montreal (downtown) Hybrid Salary: $65 000 to $75 000 Based on experienceBenefits: 3 weeks' vacation / 3 personal days / Group insurance / Paid parkingPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable (AP) Technician to join a dynamic Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the AP Technician will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, processing payroll and payroll filings, participating in month-end closing, and assisting with analysis, reporting, and process improvements.Key Responsibilities- Manage the full accounts payable process.- Process payroll and payroll filings.- Review and process staff and partner expense reports.- Perform credit card reconciliations and ensure proper documentation.- Participate actively in the monthly closing process.- Identify internal control issues and recommend or implement corrective measures.- Provide backup support to other Finance team members as needed.- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.Qualifications & Requirements- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.- Solid understanding of the accounts payable and payroll cycles.- Payroll certification is considered an asset.- Good knowledge of the full accounting cycle.- Experience with one or more ERP systems is a strong advantage.Key Skills & Attributes- Excellent communication skills in both English and French (oral and written).- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Language Requirement: English- Required proficiency level: Advanced- Reason for language requirement: Frequent communication with clients, collaboration with internal team members, customer service- Frequency of use: DailyWhy Apply?- Opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative Finance team.- Exposure to process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.- Supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth.Please submit your resume and cover letter to Clare White, cwhite@quantum.ca.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
