  • As a Design Technologist, you bridge the worlds of experience design with software development by creating exceptional user interfaces customers love to use
  • You enable teams to deliver best-in-class digital products that meet business objectives and solve real problems customers have
  • Role : Designer will be working on a design system product used by internal designers and developers.
  • Design system architecture
  • Designing reusable UI components
  • Advocating and training users of the design system
  • Systems Design
  • Work on core design system architecture, design token frameworks, user interface guidelines and more across web and mobile platforms
  • Discover user interface patterns and create reusable, flexible and accessible components
  • Provide guidance to team members with advice and techniques that improve their understanding and mastery of design systems
  • Determine strategies for enabling the collection, refinement, governance and distribution of shared patterns and components
  • Contribute to the creation of reusable components, utilities and libraries within Figma and contribute to coded components
  • Community
  • Acts as an advocate for client-centric design methods and a single, shared client experience
  • Manages relationships with partners regarding design, code, execution, and syncing of User Interface assets
  • Shares insights and shows thought leadership via presentations, lunch & learns, and other forms of written and oral communications within the Design team and across the bank
  • Facilitates systems related design critique, evaluates designs for inclusivity and provides depth and breadth of expert advice and guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Able to break down complex topics and communicate them to a broad audience

Digital Design Technologist - User Interface (UI) Design & Development - Mandatory Skills

  • BA / BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), Systems Design / Human Factors Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of experience in designing and developing UI usable interfaces across multiple platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale and logic; describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions
  • Strong expertise with Figma
  • Has experience in web and / or mobile development
  • Experience creating or contributing to, a design system

    • Digital Design Technologist - User Interface (UI) Design & Development - Preferred Skills

  • Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment
  • Has experience designing user interfaces for mobile native platforms (Android and iOS)
  • Has experience with CSS, JavaScript and is familiar with common user interface tools and frameworks (Sass, Tailwind, React, Angular)
  • Knowledge of software services / APIs
