In British Columbia, mNPRs are developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the BC Nurses’ Union (BCNU) and health organizations. Salary Details
The salary range for this position is CAD $49.20/Hr. - CAD $63.47/Hr.

The Registered Nurse Medical Day Care has the primary responsibility for the coordination, provision and evaluation of nursing care within the identified criteria for the Medical Day Care Program. They will work closely with the Regional Oncologist, Physicians and Nurse Manager in the preparation, maintenance and implementation of nursing standards, protocols, procedures and policies for the Medical Day Care Program. Provides educational assistance to inpatients, ambulatory patients and staff with respect to oncology and intravenous nursing care.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One year recent related clinical experience in Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics.
- One year experience in the care of oncology patients and chemotherapy. One year recent clinical teaching experience.
- Current registration with BCCA.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to participate in program development and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively teach patients and families.
- Demonstrated skill in CPR techniques.
- Demonstrated ability in teaching other professional staff.
- Possess advanced intravenous therapy skill – peripheral and central.
- Demonstrated effective skills in verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
