Lead Architect
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Architect to lead architectural projects and contribute to the firm's growth across Western Canada. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions, managing projects from concept to completion, and fostering strong client relationships while mentoring team members. The successful candidate will bring deep architectural expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for design excellence and collaboration.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Lead architectural projects of varying size and complexity through all phases of design and construction
- Ensure compliance with building codes, permit guidelines, and industry standards
- Maintain proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp) and project management tools
- Review and evaluate design documents, working drawings, and consultant deliverables
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project planning sessions
- Contribute to business development by preparing proposals, bids, and qualifications packages
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities to support revenue growth
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure profitability and timely delivery
- Mentor and coach intern architects and project team members
- Oversee site evaluations, construction reviews, and approval processes
- Monitor work during construction for adherence to design intent and specifications
- Provide leadership in contract administration, change management, and invoicing
- Support continuous improvement in design quality and operational efficiency
Your strengths include :
