Detailed Overview

The Clinical Leader, Project & Change Management works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate operational priorities by providing strategic clinical project and change management leadership, expertise and support to the overall Redevelopment Project. This includes leading and managing planning, procurement, evaluation, design, development, coordination and implementation of change management strategic plans, projects and initiatives, as well as commissioning and transitioning processes.

The role is responsible for project and change management coordination and implementation of strategic on‑site projects and functions, leading process improvement, and supporting site / project priorities to facilitate the transition into new and / or renovated facilities. The leader develops and implements standard project and change management methodologies and tools (charters, project plans, risk management, communication plans) to sustain improved performance across the site.

Responsibilities

Provides strategic project and change management expertise and leads the planning, development, coordination and implementation of the change management strategic plan, projects and change management initiatives to support the key strategic and operational priorities of the overall Redevelopment project.

Assesses clinical requirements of user groups by reviewing evidence and best practice to ensure identified needs are appropriate and integrates with clinical support services, providing clinical advice and information to facilitate consensus and problem resolution.

Acts as a strategic project / change management leader for assigned site‑wide projects through planning, development, integration, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project phases.

Applies change management principles to develop engagement strategies and action plans to maximize sustained success beyond project completion.

In partnership with clinical and work‑stream leads, coordinates and manages projects within a strategic change and cultural change context, ensuring projects align with corporate strategies and promote a common goal.

Functions as a key resource for operational and clinical teams to ensure optimal structure and design to achieve desired outcomes.

Executes project plans according to methodologies, ensuring successful completion of project components and facilitating consensus with stakeholders as required.

Establishes detailed project charter, plans and objectives to outline timelines and deliverables.

Works collaboratively to provide strategic support to project and operations leaders on complex multi‑stakeholder projects.

Facilitates the development and use of standardized organizational project and change management processes, tools, training and development initiatives, and provides teaching and coaching on these tools.

Provides team leadership, supervisory guidance and direction to assigned staff, managing daily project and team activities.

Oversees development and implementation of work plans, provides guidance on project activities, leads coaching, mentoring, skill development and performance management including hiring and discipline management.

Identifies leveraging opportunities between projects, formulates and develops recommendations regarding project scope and related changes to facilitate successful outcomes.

Develops and implements effective processes to assess project risks, recommends mitigation strategies and monitors risk throughout the project lifecycle, tracking progress against metrics.

Qualifications

Masters degree (or equivalent undergraduate degree plus related experience) in a clinical health science discipline, plus seven (7) years of clinical project & change management planning experience in complex, multi‑disciplinary projects involving a wide range of stakeholder / partner groups; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Certification in Project Management (PMP) and / or Change Management (PROSCI) is a preferred asset.
