Job Description
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), North East Area, is seeking permanent Emergency Medicine Physicians to join the team at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Victoria Hospital serves a large and diverse catchment area, extending from central Saskatchewan to the border of the Northwest Territories. This high-acuity Emergency Department provides physicians with the opportunity to practice a wide scope of emergency medicine, including complex medical presentations and trauma, making it an excellent environment for both early-career physicians seeking strong clinical exposure and experienced physicians looking for a rewarding and dynamic practice.
Victoria Hospital is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar expansion aimed at increasing overall capacity by 40%. The project includes a state-of-the-art heliport on the roof, an expanded Emergency Department, and northern Saskatchewan’s first MRI—enhancing both patient care and clinical opportunities for physicians.
As a University of Saskatchewan–affiliated teaching site, Victoria Hospital offers opportunities to teach and mentor medical students and residents from across Canada. Physicians are supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and enjoy a collegial practice environment with opportunities to balance clinical care, teaching, and professional growth—while living and working in a welcoming northern Saskatchewan community.
