Gaslight Harley-Davidson is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team! As the sole accounting role at the dealership, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial records, while working collaboratively with dealership leadership and the broader accounting team at the group level.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting activities for the dealership, including:
Accounts payable and receivable
Posting and balancing daily deposits
Bank and credit card reconciliations
General ledger entries and journal entries
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Reconcile schedules and support financial reporting requirements
Work closely with dealership management to support operational needs
Collaborate with and receive guidance from the Group CFO and Group Controller on financial controls, reporting, and best practices
Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
Support audits and respond to accounting inquiries as required
Qualifications & Experience
Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience (dealership experience is an asset but not required)
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong organizational and time-management skills
