Job Overview:

Domus Building Cleaning Company Ltd. is looking for RCMP Clearance Cleaners for an immediate position located within the Barrhaven area. Domus has been in operation for over 50 years with more than 500 employees in multiple provinces and has an excellent reputation as a janitorial services provider.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be knowledgeable in floor scrubbing and burnishing of floors

Clean assigned areas by sweeping vacuuming mopping and waxing floor surfaces in assigned areas by use of mechanized cleaning equipment wherever required

Collect and dispose of trash in garbage containers on a regular basis

Operate carpet machines of various types

Spot clean walls ceilings partitions light switches doors and window sills

Wipe and sanitize all public utilities such as public phones furniture and door handles

Food Court experience a plus

Cleaning of washrooms sanitizing mopping restocking of supplies as needed

Follow pre-set policies guidelines and rules to maintain a safe working environment

Other duties and responsibilities as required

Required Skills/Abilities:

Previous cleaning/janitorial experience an asset

Must be able to lift 40lbs plus on a regular basis

Must be able to communicate in English

Reliable

Legally allowed to work in Canada

Must live in the Ottawa/Gatineau region
