About the Job :

Overlanders Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and experienced Press Brake Operator Lead Hand to join our team. This role requires a dependable professional with strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude, and a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience operating press brake machinery. This is a key role in ensuring production efficiency, mentoring team members, and maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Safety Oversight : Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and monitoring compliance within the Press Brake Department.
• Quality Assurance : Maintain high-quality standards by conducting first-off inspections and interval checks, and ensuring all parts meet specifications.
• Workflow Coordination : Expedite jobs between workstations to maintain efficient production flow and minimize downtime.
• Team Leadership & Productivity : Promote a collaborative team environment, ensuring all operators are productive and workloads are balanced across machines.
• Problem Solving & Troubleshooting : Quickly identify and resolve issues related to quality, machinery, or workflow, escalating to the Brake Coordinator or Supervisor when necessary.
• Communication & Collaboration : Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Training & Support : Assist in training new and existing operators as needed, fostering skill development and consistency.
• Machine Setup & Operation Support : Support machine setup tasks, including tooling selection and adjustments, ensuring readiness for production.
