Fitness Class Instructor

The Fitness Class Instructor reports the General Manager and ensures a best in class fitness class experience for members through engaging and high-quality fitness classes. The Fitness Class Instructor is also responsible for the achievement of member retention and satisfaction; execution of company policies, procedures and programs; and exemplifying the company’s culture and values.

Responsibilities :

Arrive on time to welcome fitness class participants and answer questions; begin and end fitness classes on time.

Clean all equipment and shared touchpoints used by you before and after each class, and instruct participants to clean all equipment used by them before and after each class.

Conduct fitness classes as per the designated format and ensure fitness class participants needs are met by modifying exercises as required.

Demonstrate how to conduct exercises and use equipment safely, enforce all safe use policies and procedures to minimize the risk of injury and perform first aid as required.

Address member concerns timely by following company policies, procedures and documentation requirements and immediately report incidents to the General Manager.

Immediately address cleanliness, health and safety concerns and incidents; and report incidents to the General Manager.

Participate in internal fitness education programs to further develop your knowledge, skills and abilities.

Foster strong relationships other departments and functional areas of the company, for example member service, personal training, etc.

Additional duties may be assigned.
