Procurement Specialist

Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our fast-paced, global Supply Chain team. The Location : Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary.

Responsibilities

As a Procurement Specialist , you will :

• Provide direction and guidance to suppliers to reduce lead times while maintaining quality standards to meet project schedules.
• Manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes to fulfill service and project requirements effectively.
• Proactively identify potential supply risks and develop mitigation plans with suppliers to ensure service levels and project timelines are achieved.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Direct procurement activities using the MRP workbench and analyze / resolve MRP exception reports.
• Collaborate with suppliers to communicate and implement NovAtel procurement strategies for on-time delivery and high-quality performance.
• Support strategies such as Kanban, safety stock, and other risk mitigation programs to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
• Monitor and track shipments, ensuring proper documentation and timely delivery.
• Coordinate resolution of quality issues and expedite material shortages with suppliers.
• Assist in maintaining and setting up parts in the ERP system and participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Cross-train and provide support to the Procurement Specialist team as required.
