POSITION TITLE : Auto Body Painter

Shift Monday to Friday 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. May be subject to change depending on department demands.
Salary Range depending on experience $30-$48 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Prep and paint Heavy duty vehicles, Transportation equipment, Buses and RV’s
Determine appropriate colors and coatings for various surfaces according to standard guidelines to obtain necessary approvals; and operate inspection equipment.
Mixing paint and necessary chemicals as needed.
Works with shop management to produce timelines and finished products.
Perform a variety of routine and preventive maintenance painting duties, preparation for enamel, epoxy and latex painting.
Prepare and submit requests and supportive documentation for obtaining necessary approval to use substitute materials.
Determine and apply appropriate coating systems for painting ferrous metals which may be subject to submergence in water, sewage, or corrosive environments.
Maintain safety standards in the performance of duties.
QUALIFICATION &
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in painting.
Ability to produce quality work with minimal errors.
Able to read, write and speak in English.
Ability to use computer programs, in-house training provided.
Must have own tools.
Ability to : Maintain a clean and efficient workspace, work independently and as a member of a team, Multitask, work flexible hours to accommodate departments demands.
