Live-In Caregiver / Personal Support Worker (PSW) (both Part-time and Full Time opportunities available)
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide support for our family. The role mainly includes caring for an elderly gentleman, occasionally helping with childcare, and assisting my mother or other family members with household tasks to ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment.
Location : Square One Area, Mississauga
Responsibilities
Provide daily personal care
Assist with repositioning and mobility with the aid of hoyer lift and wheelchair
Administer medications and monitor health
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding
Maintain a positive, family-oriented environment.
Light housekeeping, including laundry and maintaining a clean and safe environment
You are required to work 6 full days per week for full time or 2 full days for part-time
Qualifications
Certified PSW or equivalent experience in caregiving
Experience working with bedridden patients, preferably the elderly
Strong understanding of elderly care, including hygiene, nutrition, and medication management
Ability to lift and assist with mobility
Excellent communication skills, patience and empathy
Benefits
The Caregiver’s compensation will be approximately $3,100 to $3,400 per month for the full time role. In addition, the Caregiver will reside in the Family’s home for the duration of the contract. Accommodation valued at approximately $1,500 per month will be provided free of charge.
This is a live-in position requiring you to reside at the patient's home 6 days per week for the full time role.
