Job Summary:

The Cook Chill Food Production Center is located on the grounds of the Maplehurst Correctional Facility; however, Cook Chill operates as an independent production facility and is separate from Maplehurst Corrections. There are no inmates on site at any time. Civeo Premium associates do not have any interaction with, nor access to, inmates.

We are seeking a Delivery Driver responsible for the safe, timely, and temperature‑controlled transportation of prepared meals to designated client locations. In this role, you will support institutional food service operations by maintaining strict adherence to food safety, quality, and HACCP‑regulated standards. You will act as a professional representative of the organization, ensuring all deliveries meet scheduling expectations, documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a refrigerated straight truck for local and regional deliveries originating from Milton, ON.

• Conduct required pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and report safety issues or needed repairs promptly.

• Follow all company driving policies, safety regulations, and Ontario traffic laws.

• Transport meals under strict temperature‑control requirements (refrigerated or frozen).

• Adhere to assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure on‑time deliveries to institutional sites.

• Load and unload meal carts, containers, or pallets using proper manual‑handling techniques.

• Maintain HACCP standards during loading, transport, and unloading.

• Accurately complete temperature logs, delivery records, and chain‑of‑custody documentation.

• Visually inspect food packaging to ensure integrity and report discrepancies.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health & safety policies.

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and sanitation standards.

• Interact professionally with onsite staff and represent the organization courteously.

• Verify delivery quantities and obtain required signatures or confirmations.

• Perform additional related tasks as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

• Valid Ontario Class DZ driver’s licence with air‑brake endorsement required. Applicants must be legally eligible to operate a 26–28 ft straight truck in Ontario and provide an acceptable driver’s abstract that meets company’s Safe Vehicle Policy.

• Previous foodservice or refrigerated delivery experience is an asset

• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, or temperature‑controlled logistics

• Experience delivering to institutional environments

• Ability to lift and move heavy components as required (following safe work practices).

• Ability to work within a secure, regulated, and operationally complex environment.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery schedules and route requirements

• Strong communication skills and professional customer service approach when interacting with clients and site staff

• Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening, vulnerable sector check, criminal record check, and any other required security clearances.
