Labourer

Fine Gold Resources is a precious metals mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March to October and are looking for qualified Labourer to be based outside of Dawson City, Yukon.

We provide accommodation and meals at our on-site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package.

The mine operates 24/7 with two shifts each day - a day shift and a night shift - with a rotation schedule. During their time off employees may stay on-site at the camp or venture to Dawson City for some time away.

For candidates local to the Dawson City area, we are open to considering an onsite / offsite working schedule.

Job Duties

• Assist mechanical team with duties including, but not limited to, picking up parts, verifying and putting away orders etc.
• Provide site maintenance including keeping the site tidy in compliance with the company standards and maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Ensure all light / heavy-duty equipment is fueled up.
• Load / unload materials and move them to various work areas.
• Assist in setting up and operating machinery.
• Sort, clean and pile salvaged materials.
• Remove rubble and other debris at work sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.
  Assist parts / mechanical personnel as necessary.
• Provide other general manual labour tasks as required and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous labourer experience in a mine environment is an asset.
• Experience working around heavy-duty equipment is an asset.
• Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting.
• Ability to work day and night shifts.
