Job descriptionStrong programming experience in Java . years of hands-on experience in Hadoop ecosystem , especially with Apache Spark and Scala . Experience working on large-scale data processing and distributed computing environments. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and data modeling. Familiarity with Hive, HDFS, Kafka, or similar tools is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Location : Toronto, ON (Hybrid – Days Onsite per Week)
Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Big Data Developer with a strong Java development background for a long-term contract opportunity based in Toronto, ON . The ideal candidate should have worked on at least – recent projects as a Hadoop / Big Data Developer , with hands-on experience in Apache Spark and Scala .
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain scalable big data applications using Spark and Scala .
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Optimize performance of data pipelines and ensure quality, accuracy, and security of data processing workflows.
- Design and implement data transformations and aggregations using big data technologies.
Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and team discussions.
