Finance Manager

Our client, a well-established venture capital firm, is seeking a Finance Manager. This hybrid role requires presence in the San Francisco office on Mondays and ideally one additional day per week with the CFO.

The Finance Manager will gain exposure to all aspects of the firm, including fund accounting oversight, portfolio management, management company operations, human resources, and vendor management.

This position offers ample opportunities for professional growth and regular engagement with firm leadership.

Responsibilities :

• Oversight of fund administrator, audit, and tax compliance.
• Treasury management and deal-closing process.
• Portfolio monitoring and analysis.
• LP-related communications, including fundraising and diligence requests.
• Management company accounting and operational initiatives.
• Human resource and payroll management.
• Special projects as directed by the CFO.

Requirements :

• At least 5 years of professional experience in alternative investment funds, fund administration, or Big 4.
• CPA and / or bachelor’s degree in business / accounting / finance.
• Highly analytical with the ability to work independently on simultaneous tasks.
• Eagerness to learn with a growth mindset.

Compensation :

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure : $160K - $190K per year.
