Senior IT Solutions Architect

Job Description

The Advanced Digital Solutions and Data Group is looking to add a Senior IT Solutions Architecture Advisor to its team. We are seeking a qualified professional with over 10 years of relevant experience. The selected candidate will be recognized for their technical expertise and interpersonal skills, acting as a Consultant. The Advanced Digital Solutions and Data Group is currently carrying out several projects in the areas of intelligent mobility, public transit systems, electrification, and energy management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide consulting support to internal and external clients
• Understand business objectives, strategic priorities, and operational challenges
• Translate ambiguous problems into clear, prioritized requirements
• Assess the impacts of IT technology solutions (costs, risks, timelines, benefits)
• Explain complex concepts in accessible language
• Produce clear deliverables, including recommendations, diagrams, and roadmaps
• Develop solution and system architectures, considering technological platforms
• Contribute to the specification of IT solutions to be acquired
• Certify and ensure the quality of solution projects
• Present produced deliverables to stakeholders
• Evaluate and analyze emerging technologies
• Support clients throughout system development and project work, validating systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology, Software Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, or other equivalent training
• Relevant and significant experience in solutions architecture
• Experience in consulting
• Strong general technical knowledge across multiple areas of expertise (IT infrastructure, software development, data engineering, cybersecurity, cloud computing) to maintain a comprehensive, global perspective
• Bilingual (English/French, spoken and written): bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position, as it enables effective collaboration with our diverse stakeholders
• Membership in the OIQ as a Professional Engineer (asset)
