ABOUT THE ROLE

St. Joseph's Care Group is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our Eating Disorders Program. This specialized program delivers intensive outpatient assessment and treatment for youth, adults, and their families experiencing eating disorder-related concerns. Services are provided by an interdisciplinary team and span the full spectrum of care across Northwestern Ontario.

In this role, the Mental Health Clinician will provide client-centred assessment and treatment, including support for family members. Responsibilities may also include developing and delivering community education, contributing to program development, engaging in research, and offering consultation to community agencies.

HIRING DEADLINE: April 20, 2026

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or Social Work
  • Registered member of Professional College in good standing
  • Five years of clinical experience and demonstrated skills in assessment, counselling, group therapy and psychoeducation
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in working with individuals with eating disorders

Skills/Abilities:

  • Primary focus of the role will involve providing individual and group treatment to adults within an interdisciplinary model of care
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Time management and organizational skills in order to effectively address and prioritize multiple tasks and timelines
  • Sound judgment, advanced critical thinking, proficient problem-solving, and excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Conditions of Employment:

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
  • Will be required to travel to various work location and provide own transportation
  • Ability to work irregular hours
