CGI is seeking an experienced Senior SDET (Senior Software Development Engineer in Test) to support client-facing engagements by driving automation-led quality engineering initiatives. The role requires deep technical expertise strong consulting mindset and the ability to work directly with clients to design implement and continuously improve scalable test automation solutions across multiple technology platforms.
The successful candidate will act as a quality engineering advisor influencing test strategy enabling tool integrations and demonstrating value through innovation metrics and continuous improvement.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Lead the design development and implementation of test automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing client frameworks
. Define and execute automation strategies across Web API/Service Desktop and Mobile applications
. Work closely with client stakeholders development teams and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded across the SDLC
. Perform Proof of Concepts (POCs) and conduct tool evaluations recommending best-fit solutions aligned with client needs
. Enable tool-to-tool integrations using APIs reverse proxy and custom connectors
. Provide automation tool administration governance and best practices to client teams
. Drive continuous quality improvements through reusable assets accelerators and automation standards
. Present automation solutions metrics and outcomes through client demos walkthroughs and leadership presentations
. Conduct client trainings and enablement sessions to upskill teams on automation tools and frameworks
. Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to CGIs QE innovation initiatives

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 10 years of hands-on experience in test automation and/or software development
. Proven expertise in building and scaling automation frameworks
. Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks including: Selenium RestAssured Cucumber Tricentis TOSCA Appium
. Advanced Java programming skills including: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Design Patterns Collections and core Java concepts
. Strong background in API automation service validation and integration testing
. Experience working in CI/CD environments and agile delivery models


Consulting & Client-Facing Skills

. Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills
. Ability to articulate technical solutions in a business-focused manner
. Experience conducting client demos technical workshops and trainings
. Ability to assess client environments and propose practical scalable QE solutions
. Comfortable working in multi-team multi-vendor client ecosystems


Good to Have / Value-Add Skills

. Experience with additional programming languages such as Python and/or C#.NET
. Hands-on experience with AI-enabled testing or Quality Engineering solutions
. Experience implementing Quality Metrics and reporting dashboards (e.g. Gathr)
. Exposure to SaaS-based test execution platforms such as HyperExecute
. Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60000$120000. This role is an existing vacancy.
