Service Technician - Modular

Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

Join our team to work on the service and new construction of blast resistant modular units using hand and power tools. This role involves physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and lifting with the buddy system for heavier loads.

Responsibilities

• Engage in general labor tasks related to the construction and carpentry of modular units.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively for construction purposes.
• Assist in framing activities and drywall hanging.
• Perform painting tasks as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols and utilize buddy lift system for heavy lifting tasks.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of construction experience.
• Proficiency with power tools, particularly drills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Experience in drywall hanging and painting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in drywall or renovation projects.
• WHMIS certification.
• Fall Protection certification.
• First Aid certification.

Work Environment

This position is based in a shop environment with working hours from 6:00am to 2:30pm. The contract term is 6 months, with the potential for up to 10+ hours of overtime per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
