Job description
Build real-time firmware with C/C++ and Python at Applanix in Richmond Hill, Ontario, working in-office with an engineering team. Start May 2027.
This Software Engineering Intern program prepares prospective candidates for full-time roles after graduation. You will work on APX/AP+ firmware, debugging, data analysis, and algorithm implementation. The internship offers practical experience with GIT, JIRA, agile development, and positioning technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software for Applanix real-time firmware
- Apply algorithms to complex technical challenges
- Debug software methodically and analyze data
- Collect and organize performance-improving datasets
- Use GIT and JIRA within an agile environment
Requirements:
- Pursuing Engineering Science or Computer Science degree
- Ideally completed the third year of study
- Practical C/C++ and Python software development knowledge
- Understanding of software methodologies and development tools
- Interest in geospatial and positioning products
