Long Term Care Nursing Assistant

Support residents’ daily living needs at La Ronge Health Centre through personal care and strong interpersonal communication. Full-time regular work includes nights, evenings, and weekends.

This Continuing Care Assistant serves within the Long Term Care Nursing Unit at La Ronge Health Centre. You help clients, patients, and residents maintain their optimum level of functioning. Your responsibilities address physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs through direct personal care and daily living support. Organizational and basic computer skills are also required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients, patients, and residents with personal care
• Provide activities of daily living support
• Encourage residents’ optimum level of functioning
• Address physical and emotional needs through support
• Support psychological and spiritual needs

Requirements:

• Continuing Care Assistant certificate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills for assigned care activities
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently
