Retail Project Solutions Sales Associate

Guide customers through complete projects using open-ended questions, product expertise, and service recommendations in a retail sales environment.

As a Sales Associate, you will actively seek customers, understand their projects, and provide assistance regardless of department. You will explain good, better, and best options, suggest related products and services, and educate shoppers about their whole project. The work requires effective communication, customer focus, and ongoing learning across departments. You will report to the Department Supervisor and have no travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Escort customers to appropriate merchandise throughout the store
• Determine needs and expertise through open-ended project questions
• Explain product features and complete-project options
• Promote Special Services, Tool Rental, and Pro Services
• Maintain product knowledge in department and adjacent departments

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One to two years retail or trade experience beneficial
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers
• Customer-focused approach to finding and solving needs
• Ability to bend, lift, push, pull, and move items
