Maintenance Worker Building Systems

Maintain Bulkley Lodge buildings, grounds, and equipment as a Maintenance Worker with Northern Health in Smithers. Apply carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting skills.

Working under a Manager or designate, this Maintenance Worker performs repair and maintenance duties at Bulkley Lodge. The position also includes related administrative duties and supervision of designated Maintenance staff and contractors. Northern Health delivers hospital and community-based care across Northern BC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance duties for buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Complete repairs involving carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting
• Supervise designated Maintenance staff and related contractors
• Handle related administrative duties under general supervision

Requirements:

• Grade 10 education
• Three years of recent related experience
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Organize work and operate related equipment
