Manufacturing Materials Shipping Coordinator
Manage manufacturing materials from receipt through shipment using ERP systems, documentation control, and detailed inventory verification. The position requires accurate, timely logistics coordination.
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator handles materials, equipment, fabricated assemblies, and completed products in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include reviewing purchase orders, packing slips, shipping instructions, and inventory records. You will coordinate staging, inspection, storage, production, packaging, loading, securement, and delivery requirements while communicating with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify descriptions, part numbers, quantities, conditions, and project information
- Coordinate receiving, staging, inspection, quarantine, storage, and production teams
- Determine packaging, crating, banding, labeling, protection, and loading requirements
- Verify destinations, delivery dates, methods, weights, dimensions, and documentation
- Maintain receiving records and provide timely shipping-status updates
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years related shipping, receiving, inventory, logistics, or warehouse experience
- Manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or project-based experience preferred
- Ability to interpret purchase orders, bills of lading, and work orders
- Strong organization, accuracy, follow-up, and time-management skills
