Dietary Aide Food Service

Prepare and serve meals as a Dietary Aide, applying food preparation skills and therapeutic diet standards in a care facility. Support residents or patients through safe, attentive dining service.

This Dietary Aide position supports food service in an assisted living or medical facility. You will prepare meals according to instructions, follow portion standards, and serve therapeutic diets. The work also includes sanitation, service-area restocking, dining-space care, and special function catering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation and meal service
• Serve therapeutic diets according to portion standards
• Set, clear, clean, and sanitize dining spaces
• Monitor and restock food service areas
• Support delegated special function catering

Requirements:

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous dietary aide, hospitality, or customer service experience
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Meal preparation skills following instructions
• Time-management and multitasking abilities
