Thrift Store Customer Service Associate

Serve customers and donors as a Store Associate at The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Vancouver, BC. Sort donations while supporting retail operations.

This permanent part-time position provides customer service, donation processing, and store support. You will greet visitors, handle transactions, price merchandise, and maintain organized sales areas. The role requires cash handling, register experience, and support for The Salvation Army’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and donors courteously
• Complete cash and debit transactions accurately
• Sort, process, price, and store donations
• Replenish sales floor inventory and maintain displays
• Keep store areas attractive, organized, and safe

Requirements:

• Completion of some high school coursework
• A few months’ customer service or goods-processing experience
• Required cash handling experience
• Experience with cash registers and related procedures
• Ability to lift or move 30 pounds
