Job description
Maintain a safe, clean school environment as a Custodian 1 at Ecole Secondaire Cochrane High School. Use cleaning equipment and basic computer skills daily.
District School Board Ontario North East seeks a Custodian 1 for an existing permanent, full-time 0.625 FTE vacancy. The schedule is 25 hours weekly, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., starting as soon as possible. This position maintains Board buildings through routine cleaning and related tasks supporting students, staff, and visitors. Experience in custodial work is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning throughout the Board's buildings
- Use cleaning materials and equipment skillfully and efficiently
- Complete related tasks supporting safe, clean environments
- Perform medium to heavy physical work with assistance
Requirements:
- High School diploma or general degree (GED)
- Current WHMIS certificate
- Basic computer skills, including e-mail and data entry
- Read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence
Support Ecole Secondaire Cochrane High School with routine cleaning, physical work, WHMIS knowledge, and dependable building care.
