Wire EDM Programmer Operator Milton

Operate Wire EDM equipment in Milton, Ontario, using machine controls, programming knowledge, and precision measurement skills. Afternoon and night shifts are available.
This full-time production role reports to the Engineering Manager and performs machine setup, operation, and basic Electrical Discharge Machine programming. You will support Engineering by creating fixtures and gauges, establishing manufacturing methods, and maintaining acceptable tolerances. The work also includes monitoring production runs, inspecting finished features, and handling scheduled maintenance duties. Experience with CAD/CAM software is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Wire EDM machines
- Monitor production runs and adjust machine controls
- Create machine fixtures and gauges with Engineering
- Measure and inspect finished work features
- Perform scheduled maintenance and organize consumables
Requirements:
- Previous Wire EDM setup and operating experience
- Wire EDM programming and machine controls experience
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and GD&T
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and metrology equipment
- Basic computer and machine file management skills
