Human Resources Generalist Employee Relations

Employee relations expertise meets hybrid work at Pacific Blue Cross for a Human Resources Generalist supporting leaders, employees, and union representatives.

This permanent Human Resources Generalist advises across the employee lifecycle in a unionized environment. You will apply HR policies, collective agreement interpretation, recruitment, performance management, and workforce planning. The position also supports HR operations, systems, reporting, and process improvements while contributing to a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide inquiries on collective agreements, policies, and procedures
• Support investigations, grievances, discipline, terminations, and absences
• Build relationships with leaders, unions, and HR partners
• Ensure practices comply with legislation and privacy requirements
• Support full-cycle recruitment and employee lifecycle administration

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
• CPHR designation, progress toward designation, or equivalent
• Three to five years’ progressive generalist experience
• Experience within a fast-paced, unionized environment
• Knowledge of British Columbia employment and privacy legislation
