Long Term Care Health Care Aide

Provide essential long term care support as a Health Care Aide with Brooks NH LTC Nursing at Brooks Health Centre. Help patients with mobility, nutrition, hygiene, and safety.

This casual relief assignment supports patients and residents needing ongoing assistance or short term support. You will collaborate with nurses, families, caregivers, and health professionals throughout care delivery. Your work will follow patient care plans, facility policies, and supervision from regulated health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support patients’ daily living activities and personal assistance
• Assist routine care addressing hygiene and nutrition needs
• Help patients with mobility, recreation, and safety
• Participate in organized activities or care programs
• Report observations about patient health and wellbeing

Requirements:

• Registration or practice permit eligibility with CLHA
• Proof of education or Health Care Aide certificate completion
• Certificate completion required within eighteen months of hire
• Satisfactory criminal record and Vulnerable Sector screening
• Ability to support safe patient and staff environments
