Gameplay Bots Technical Game Designer

Shape Apex Legends Bots through AI behavior design and scripting for Battle Royale gameplay, supporting live-service updates at Electronic Arts.

As a Game Designer, you will model player behaviors across skill levels and translate them into autonomous opponents. You will improve existing Bots systems, balance performance constraints, and sustain updates after release. The work combines systems design, rapid iteration, metrics, sentiment, and playtest feedback. You will report to the Senior Lead Game Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze Apex Legends match flow and successful play patterns
• Design AI behaviors and Bot performance expectations
• Partner with engineers on Bots system updates
• Communicate feature vision across product and analytics collaborators
• Bug fix, balance, and support high quality releases

Requirements:

• Three or more years designing multiplayer games professionally
• Direct experience building NPC or AI behaviors
• Experience implementing designs through scripting
• Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative design
• Strong design, balance, game feel, and polish record
