Electrical Trades College Instructor

Support electrical trades learners through instruction, evaluation, and advising at Okanagan College’s Kelowna, Penticton, or Vernon campuses.

As a Vocational Instructor, you will deliver teaching assignments and help maintain course quality through preparation and revision. The non-regular substitute appointment includes professional development, curriculum responsibilities, and service duties. Instructional schedules are on-call, typically four days weekly and no more than 30 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned electrical vocational courses
• Develop and revise curriculum and course materials
• Provide learner-centred advising and student contact
• Assess and mark student work
• Support school visits, articulation meetings, and committees

Requirements:

• Successful completion of related apprenticeship training
• Interprovincial endorsement on Certificate of Apprenticeship
• Six to ten years recent relevant experience
• Teaching or work experience equivalent to preferred qualifications
• Commitment to teamwork and strong oral and written English
