Personal Support Worker Brantford

Support seniors at Oakwood Commons in Brantford as a Personal Support Worker, providing daily living assistance and compassionate resident care. This temporary part-time float schedule runs from 12:00pm to 08:00pm.

Reporting to an Associate Director of Care, you will support residents in a long-term care community. The work includes personal care, mobility assistance, communication support, and meaningful connections. You will also encourage participation in resident programs and contribute to daily well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming according to care plans
• Encourage residents to use glasses and hearing aids
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, oral, and dental support
• Maintain access to walkers, canes, and call bells
• Encourage participation in individual and group programs

Requirements:

• Completed approved Personal Support Worker program
• Internationally Educated Nurse with a nursing degree
• Proficiency in simple treatment procedures and bedside care
• Tact and diplomacy with seniors, families, and visitors
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check and Canadian work eligibility
