Custodial Scheduler Training Specialist

Shape custodial training and scheduling at UBC using workloading, cleaning standards, and employee proficiency evaluation. The primary shift is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm.

As Custodial Workload & Training Specialist, you train new custodial employees and create detailed schedules for Building Service Workers. You plan classroom and hands-on instruction, evaluate proficiency, and support performance concerns. You also develop assignments aligned with APPA or other cleaning body standards, campus space inventories, and departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train new staff on custodial processes, chemicals, and equipment
• Create content for crew talks and selected delivery formats
• Develop schedules using space inventories and cleaning standards
• Audit assignments and evaluate ongoing scheduling effectiveness
• Recommend staffing adjustments and maintain operational records

Requirements:

• Certificate in Building Service Management
• Or high school completion with five years related experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
• Willingness to respect diverse perspectives
