Pharmacy Assistant Prescription Workflow

Support prescription workflow at a Shoppers Drug Mart store through accurate data entry, medication selection, and careful labeling. Serve customers promptly while protecting confidential information.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will assist with technical prescription functions and pharmacy services. Your work includes receiving orders, processing refills, preparing prescriptions, and maintaining pharmacy operations according to standards. You will also refer clinical questions and counseling needs to the pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter new prescriptions and process refill requests accurately
• Select medications according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice
• Count, measure, package, and label prescriptions
• Maintain accurate data within applicable Pharmacy systems
• Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and solve problems
